1) Hampi

Hampi is the World Heritage Site located in east-central Karnataka, India. Hampi was founded in the middle of 14th Century by two local princes, Hakka & Bukka, the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire in the 14th century. It is famous for its numerous ruined temples. Temples of Hampi are sculptures and monuments which attract the traveler because of their excellent workmanship.

Hampi is also known as Pampa Kshetra, Kishkindha kshetra and even Bhaskara kshetra. An iconic Battle of Talikota took place, in which the Sultanates defeated Vijayanagar, they then plundered and destroyed hampi and its beauty.

2) Kodaikanal

Kodaikanal is a hill station located in Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu. The name Kodaikanal in tamil means “The Gift of the Forest”. It is also called “Princess of Hill Station.”

Kodaikanal is a romantic destination and attracts more tourists for its beautiful lake, stunning mountain and deep forests are a paradise for nature lovers. Gokarna is located on the Arabian Sea, southwest of Karnataka. A popular pilgrimage destination for Hindus, such as Mahabaleshwar Temple dedicated to the lord Shiva, Kumta, Bhadrakali temple, Yana caves and Koti Teertha, a holy water for devotees.
